As the designer in charge of creating draft illustrations for an upcoming children's book, my primary responsibility was to produce engaging and visually appealing drawings that are tailored to the 4-7 year old age range. I was given creative freedom to design characters and scenes that will capture the imagination of young readers.
To do this, I used my deep understanding of the target audience and their interests. I created characters that are relatable and fun, and scenes that are  full of colorful and the great expanse of stars. The draft illustrations were refined and developed over a period of four months where I worked closely with the author to ensure that the illustrations aligned with the overall vision for the book.
Ultimately, my goal was to create illustrations that not only bring the story to life, but also inspire young readers to engage with the book and develop a love of reading.
